Does this actually work on your iphone? I downloaded it and it gets stuck downloading data, and I can't find contact info for the company anywhere. I really want it to work - it looks so cool! Just curious if it works for you.

Wait... I completely take that back! After trying for about an hour to get it to work, suddenly it does. Apparently, all I had to do is complain on a blog! Anyway, it looks great.. nevermind me. :)

Is this app still available? I was so excited to hear of it, but can't seem to find it on the app store.

Raquel - I am on the case. I couldn't find it in the iPhone app store. I have been in touch with this company to get Mixed Greens listed and just heard from them last week so I will find out what is going on and get back to you. Thanks for the heads up!

Here is the response from ArtNear about where the app went...
Paige,
Thank you for your email. Hopnear released artnear about 7 weeks ago and the response has been fantastic. That said, the release also exposed some technical difficulties with the first version of the app - the initial download was large (and getting larger every day) which led some people to complain that it wasn't working.
We addressed this problem and and released an update to Apple weeks ago but because of the release of their updated iPhone software they have been slow in completing their technical review. As a result we pulled the app from the store until they approve the new version.
We expect and hope that the update will be approved any day (it could even happen today) and then it will then be back in the store. The update contains added features and fixes especially in the way it downloads data - the initial download still takes a little while but it comes with a counter which makes it easier to see what is going on, but once that is done the future updates only take 5-10 seconds.
We are also working on more releases with more more features which we are very excited about. Current users of artnear can still use the app and will receive the update free and automatically.
Please let me know if you have any other questions and thanks again for your support. I will be sure to email you when the app is back in the store.
Regards,
Tim Dumbleton
Hopnear Inc.
