Most people think I do live in Philadelphia. I grew up there, the collection is housed there, family still there, etc. I don't live in Philly, but if I did, I would make a point to see this show. Guaranteed recession-proof pricing: the show contains quite a few emerging artists. I wish the gallery had a website where I could remotely see the art (hint-hint), but as this is their inaugural show, I'll let it slide.

I love shows that star emerging artists. Sometimes, I just love the fresh and different outlook that they provide! It's ironic, though, that many emerging and up-and-coming artists are utilizing the power of the internet. There's this new site called www.mysoiree.net that allows artists to have their own virtual studio to display their work. Galleries, although wonderful that they are, are now competing with the internet! Perhaps soon you'll be able to see the gallery's displays live online!
Thank you for the post. It's always a pleasure reading them.
