As far as Latin American artist go...I like Jose Bedia...Luis Cruz Azaceta..Arnolde Roche..(sp??)I think his stuff is pretty pricey right now!

Jeff: Thanks for your awesome additions! I agree with all of your Under 5 artists. Great artists, great prices. Thanks, especially, for adding the Latin American artists. I'm excited to check them out because I know so little about them.

Just say no... to Dali! Here, here!

A great spot to check out Latin American Art is sothebys.com...They are having an auction May 26th which features alot of the heavy hitters...Lam...Matta...Botero...etc..etc

but you can also view Bedia...Roche Rabell and another fave of mine...Kcho..lot 51...little outta my price range...but I think his works on paper and small canvas pieces are reasonable...

sothebys and christies both have great websites..(check out the comtemporary sale May 12 and 13th...really cool stuff)

happy hunting

Sheila

I bought a Scott Teplin from him when he was in grad school in Seattle for $50 - and I still really love it.
